The beginning of the World Championships in Are is completed successfully. I have to say honestly that I haven´t lost gold at the super G but I have won bronze.
Difficult race
I wanted a medal and I have one now because finally I know how it is to go back home without a medal. It was a difficult race, the snow was more aggressive than I had thought. That surprised me a little bit. I left the ideal line a few times. So little mistakes appeared in my run which you cannot afford considering the other skiers´ top shape. But if you want to win you have to risk anything.
I congratulate Anja and Lindsey without envy, they were simply better than me.
Concentration on the downhill
Now my full power and concentration are centred on the downhill on Sunday. At the first training you could already see that there will be a thrilling race because it is a technically demanding and attraktive track.
I wish a nice week to all of you and don´t forget to keep the fingers crossed on Sunday.
